I want to set up my computer into a multiple hard drive setup, My current hard drive is starting to give me troubles and is about 4-5 years old, So I decided now was the time to try new things. I want OS and system essentials on a 64gb SSD and then regular data (programs and media) onto 2 2TB HDD set up in RAID 1. My question is which SATA ports would they be set up as. My M/B only has 2 6gb ports. Obviously the SSD should go to one of them. But for the 2 HDD, should 1 go to a 6 gb port and the other to a 3gb? Or should both of them go to a 3gb port?

Both should go in the 3Gbps port.

In fact, hard drives should always go in the slowest port because they don't gain anything from faster ports (the fastest I've seen a hard drive go is 150MB/s on a sequential read, which is way slower than the 300MB/s on SATA 3Gbps).
