  • CPU: Drop it to a i5-4670K. The 4770K doesn't offer much performance over the 4670K.
  • Motherboard: I'd probably get something cheaper in the $150-$180 range, simply because when you go more expensive, you get a bunch of "nice to haves" that you may never use.
  • GPU: A GTX 770 or Radeon R280 (or R290 whenever that comes out) would give you a better bang for the buck
  • PSU: If you're planning on using just one video card, 600W-650W should suffice
  • HDD: Notice you have two, if you're going to do RAID0, just get a single 2TB.

the i7 was for maya and zbrush mostly. And I do plan on getting 2 video cards as well which is why I chose that PSU.

would duo 770's be good?

I'd read up on reviews to see if those two programs or anything like it are included in benchmarks. The problem with the i7 is that it's still a quad core processor at heart, and it really depends on if those programs really take advantage of HyperThreading or not.

And two 770's should be good. Make sure to get a 4GB one or something to start.

ok, Thanks for your advice, I'll read up on maya and zbrush. I know that Maya is a very CPU intensive program.
