Hello there,

I am from Spain and I was looking for a Quiet case. My budget can't exceed 120 euros.
Since I am buying in Spain, some of the places I know are: www.pccomponentes.com and www.pcbox.com.
I mention the sites since there is no point in picking a Case if I can't buy it
If you know any other website please feel free to point it out.
Ohhh newegg...I love it so much...I wish I was born in the USA xD

Thanks a lot for your help!

Jose

Well, the trouble is that noise is mostly a result of the fans used in the case rather than design of the case itself. Some designs lend itself to better airflow with acoustics (Cases from SilverStone and the BitFenix Prodigy fit here), but you also may have to go the extra mile, like adding noise dampening padding and stuff. In other words, there is no right answer. I can make a case loud or quiet because of how the fans are configured.

Oh, and what case you can use depends on your motherboard's formfactor.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.

Ok then, what about recommending just a good ATX or bigger Case and some quiet vents to go along? I have an ATX Gigabyte motherboard and a Phenom II X4 650 processor with a noise as shit vent.
I can start from there. I already got those silicon "screws" for the vents :)
I think my biggest problem is the processorĀ“s cooler. I would apprecciate a recommendation here.

Thanks again :)

Jose

Good fans are pricey. I haven't used this particular brand, but it comes highly recommended:

Noctua NFF12

As for a CPU cooler, I used this Alpine 64 CPU cooler. It's specific to the AMD processors and his head and shoulders above the stock fan. Plus, it's not that expensive and the one I used was extremely quiet - so quiet, the only way I knew it was on was because I could see the fan rotating. Check out my earlier post where I compare it to the stock cooler.

Hope this helps.

Now on the vent thing. I wish I could get that Alpine 64, but they don't ship to spain. Btdog, what about these ones? do you see anyone ok? What I see is price :x

I see your point with the Noctua Btdog, but can we get something cheaper? Can you check out this list please?

Thank you both for your help :)

For the CPU cooler, the Hyper 212 EVO is a favorite on these boards.

As for the fans, I've never tried them, but the Artic Fans listed are from the same manufacturer's as the alpine 64 CPU cooler I recommended. If their CPU cooler is any indication, those fans should be pretty good. If I needed some fans, I would try one of those.

Hope this helps.

Hello guys!

I am back in Argentina, and with these beauties:

http://www.pccomponentes.com/fractal_de ... pearl.html

http://www.pccomponentes.com/cooler_mas ... 2_evo.html

http://www.pccomponentes.com/tacens_aur ... 0x120.html

I am only in doubt with the Tacens Pro vent, but I will post my opinion once I ensamble it. Thanks a lot for your help guys, I feel this computer will be much, much quieter.

Again, couldn't have done it without your help :o ,

Consider this "case closed".

See ya later!

Joselox
