So I have spent too much time looking at all these parts. My budget is $600 and I am trying to get the most out of it. However I have heard that LoL is not a very intense game when it comes to graphics, so I feel as though I am over building my computer. I was looking at an HD 7850 for graphics and a FX-8350 for a CPU. Is this over kill for LoL? What would be an ample cpu/gpu combo to run this game on max settings or close to max (if I have to play on high vs very very high I can live with that).

All this computer is for is League of Legends, I don't play any other computer games...Please keep that in mind.

It's $584 upfront, but $528 after rebates. All this gets you is a FX-6100 which is still pretty decent, but if you want a FX-8350 then you're going to have to spend $650 upfront before rebates lower this to $598 or so. The thing is the two parts you want total $330 off the bat... and everything else is pretty much the cheapest I could get it to without giving you doggy doo quality.

Would the i5-3570 with integrated graphics card be a better buy? I'd save some money by not getting a graphics card but is the integrated gpu on this enough for lol?

Well, people say you can get about 30-40FPS on high with one. But I'd opt for a Haswell chip rather than an Ivy Bridge chip.

Why is that? I know very little about this type of stuff, still researching could you please elaborate?

So after much internal debate I think my best option is to go with a core-i7 cpu (w/HD 4000 internal gpu). From what I have seen this will give me what I want to play on med to high settings. But most important it gives me a good base point to go from in the future. I will probably end up adding an additional GPU in the future should I decide that I need one, but I beleive its the best bang for the buck.

So my new question becomes, how big of a PSU do I need. The websites I have been looking at say I need less then 100w PSU?!??! If this is the case then I can just go with a nice little <$40 psu and save even more money..

Because I don't believe you should get last generation tech unless there's some absolute need :D

As for what you think you should get, no. A Core i7 will take out half your budget for performance that is meh. If you got a Core i5, the price difference would've nailed you a cheap graphics card that would dominate the HD4000. Also, unless you get a i7-4770R, a Haswell i5 or i7 has the same HD Graphics GPU anyway, so you're not going to get anything out of it anyway.

Thx for the help so far! This got me thinking; why not settle for a core i3 with the hd 4600. I mean will a i5 really make that much of a difference when it comes to playing LoL? Besides that all I do is surf the web, literally no other gaming besides LoL on the computer. From what I have read the i3 has a higher clock speed but only 2 cores, and I have also read that LoL doesnt use more then one core anyways, or something along those lines...

Let me know your thoughts on this...

You know, if all you're doing is LoL, we could just get you an APU and call it a day.

Kind of. I'm talking about AMD's offerings specifically.
