Hi,

I'm building a medium level gaming computer, I'm not 100% sure that the parts i have chosen will fit together and work without problems. This is my first time building a computer from scratch.

Here is the list of components i have selected for my build, i would be really grateful if anyone could let me know if it will work or have suggestions for making it better.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 FM2 A85 ATX http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=MMEE081467
CPU: AMD A10 5800K 3.8Ghz BLACK SKT FM2 L2 4Mb 100W PIB http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=MMEB960741
Case: Antec Three Hundred Two - Tower - ATX http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=ECE2359930
PSU: XFX ProSeries 550W Power Supply Unit (Core Edition) http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=JCEPSU-XFX-P1-550S-XXB9
CPU Cooler: Corsair Water Cooling Hydro Series H80 http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=JCEC-CW-9060008-WW
RAM: Crucial 8Gb Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) C11 Unbuffered ECC UDIMM 240pin 1.35V/1.5V http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=ECE2408388
HDD: Western Digital, AV-GP 500GB 3.5" Internal Hard drive, SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3) 32MB Cache http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=ECE2346091

Thank You.

Solid build but frankly going with watercooling on a rig that is going to be used for medium level gaming at best is overkill. I would recommend going for something like a ThermalRight TrueSpirit or CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ heatsink instead as water cooling is not needed for a build like this.

I wouldn't put APUs in medium tier gaming in the grand scheme of things. I feel that they're more entry level, since both the CPU and GPU performance is low-mid tier. It's not a bad build (aside from the watercooling remark, get a Cooler Master EVO 212).

A medium performing computer would have a $100-$120 CPU with a $150-$200 GPU. So what's your budget? We might scavenge a decent PC.

I chose water cooling because I'm trying to keep it silent as I will be using the computer in a family room. My budget is €650/$840, I checked the A10 6800k w/ integrated Radeon HD 8670d on Game-Debate.com and with it I would be able to play Crysis 3 on medium to high settings @ 1280x1024 resolution, is this right?

It depends on how much FPS it was getting. Finding http://www.anandtech.com/show/7032/amds ... -hd-4600/2 it shows it does play most games on medium settings at 1366x768 for about 30 or so FPS. If you're fine with that, then go for it.

Also in some cases, sealed water cooling is just as loud, if not louder, than air cooling. Not only do you still need fans for water cooling, but there's a pump as well. Water cooling doesn't become "silent" until you by open loop kits.

Probably not. Using your links, you're already at 670 euro - you haven't listed an OS (Windows will probably cost another 150); and you probably need a DVD drive which I'm guessing is another 25 minimum.

And welcome to the forums! Let us know how this turns out.

Hope this helps.
