It's that time again to start thinking about a new rig. I always respect the opinions I get from the forum members. You guys have never given me bad advice, so I hope that's what I get again, so here goes. I need suggestions on a budget to mid-grade rig. I'll be replacing my ageing Intel 2500K i5 that is running a Radeon 6950 with 8gb of ddr3. I need ideas that will have me playing BF 4 when it comes out. My present rig runs BF 3 fine but don't know if it's up to BF 4's standards. I'd like to stick with Intel but would go AMD if proformance is similar. I understand the 1155 socket is just about dead so I guess I'm looking at a new mobo. I'm limited to about $800, so keep that in mind. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Just keep your system and upgrade the video card. Ivy Bridge didn't really add any performance and the consensus with Haswell is that it's not offering much performance over Ivy Bridge.

And games are generally GPU capped.
