Aha... I think it's a gross misnaming to call "sending more frames than you're actually rated for" monitor overclocking. But whatever. And if it's EVGA that's the only tool that will let you force a higher refresh rate, then chances are, you're limited to EVGA cards.
In any case, it looks like this is a 3D thing, so pretty much anything that supports NVIDIA 3D should support LightBoost, if the monitor supports it. And either way, you're getting a 144Hz monitor, I think you should play with that before being dissatisfied with it, because at that rate, you're way beyond the threshold for human reaction time.
