I'm considering building a pc for the first time, rather than to keep upgrading my old rig. I do have one problem. I would prefer to have a bit smaller of a tower, definitely (note that it is spelled correctly) nothing more than a mid. Something along the lines of 17" high, 7.5" wide and about 20" deep. I do need a lot of usb ports on it, preferably with a couple of 3.0 on the front. My current computer has 8 ports of which 5 are permanently occupied and I can use all 8 at times. I am looking for a good tower at that size or below that would give me 8 usb ports, preferably 4 on the front in addition to what my motherboard gives me on the back. I spent quite a bit of time looking yesterday and could not find something that looked like it would fit. Anyone here know of one? Thanks

For better or worse, two USB3.0 ports up front seems to be the norm. USB3.0 takes up quite a bit of board space, and motherboard manufacturers still include USB2.0 headers. Not to mention, space becomes really tight once you start going down to MicroATX sizes. If anything, you should get a USB hub if you need more ports.

Anyway, as for cases, any one of these should suffice., but you should go out and look for something yourself as well.

Thank you for your help. It looks like most smaller cases tend to be pricier anyways. I have decided to modify my desk a little and ordered an Antec eleven hundred for my build.
