Ok gotta put together a nicely potent tower for placement at my girlfriend's place, this is what I have in mind right now, do critique.

HAF 912 Case
Coolermaster Extreme 525 watt PSU
Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard
i5 3570K Processor
Hyper 212 Evo
2 X Kingston HyperX 8Gb (4X2) Kits 1600Mhz XMP memory (On huge sale at local computer shop)
Some Samsung DVD Burner (yanked from an existing system with one too many burners in it as it is)
Seagate 7200.12 1TB HDD (recycled from defunct enclosure)
MSI built GTX 680 Video card

The processor/CPU are as a bundle deal for $350 Canadian and seems like a decent match to each other.

Do intend on adding a SSD at a later date.

Thanks in advance.

Get a GTX 670, $100 less, loses no more than 10% performance to the GTX 680. And bump up the power supply to 600W to be safe.

Built it, decided to wait on a GPU for the time being, using the intergrated graphics (YIKES), actually not too terribly bad, works well so far, just waiting for the burn in to complete though, running Windows 7 x64 of course, really like the 3570K, put in a mild 4Ghz overclock and it stomps all over my classic i7 950 that's also running at 4Ghz....go figure.

Ok, now for a GPU, options are

Bang for buck, Asus Radeon 7770 O/C 1Gb Direct CU
Midrange, GTX 670

This is kind of a "budget system" those are my ideas, feel free to contribute ! (Yes I did up the PSU to a 600W unit)
