Looking for cheap backlit keyboard. I have a music studio and the light is ultra-dim. I have no need for 'gaming' functions of any kind. I bought an 'Azio' backlit kb from Newegg for $25 which is fantastic, -except- that the tactile feel is seriously the worst I have ever experienced in a PC keyboard. It literally has -zero- feedback, let alone 'click'. It's hard to tell if you've accidentally hit a key or not.

All the other backlit kbs I've seen are in the $100 range and seem to be mechanical... which is great, but I can't see spending that kind of money. I just need a 'normal' non-clicky wired 101 keyboard, but hopefully with backlight.

Any ideas?

TIA,

---JC

PS: I'm no gamer but I find the mag very useful for our studio,

I've got the Logitech K800 Illuminated wireless board, but I know they do have a wired version of it for less, same keys, I like it a lot. It's not mechanical but the backlighting is decent, variable brightness as well. not sure what the wired version costs offhand but I'm sure you can find it,.

AZIO Large Print Tri-Color Illuminated Keyboard KB505U Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Ergonomic Keyboard ($28.99). The cheapest one the Egg had.

Backlighting is just something seen as a premium option these days. So... You could either get the next more expensive thing or bite the bullet. Something like the Logitech Illuminated wired goes for $80 or so. The only problem is that I have a feeling they did another revision, because people were complaining about key ghosting and the one I have doesn't have ghosting issues as described.

So for gaming... might not be the best choice

Thanks. Seems reasonable. I also stumbled on this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005S0 ... UPJ4C2HX16

I don't care about the 'Call Of Duty' thing at all, so long as it works.

Cheers for that.
