My rig specifications:
- Intel core i7-950
- Gigabyte X58A-UD3R
- Galaxy nVidia GeForce GTX560 SE with 1536MB GDDR5 VRAM
- 12GB DDR3 of RAM
- 2TB (1TBx2) Western Digital Caviar Green, I am not really sure about the speed
- Antec 650W PSU
- CoolerMaster CM 690 II Advance
- A Blu-Ray Combo disc reader.
Sounds old but it can still play the newest games, including the newest Need for Speed: Most Wanted in high settings, without lag. it costs very expansive but should I upgade it for this time?

You could upgrade your video card if you want better performance in gaming I would suggest going with a EVGA 670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130782, but a 560 should be fine for almost every new game coming out.

WELCOME! Welcome to the MaxPC FORUMS. Please make sure you don't just play a voyeur - be sure to actively contribute, advise and help someone else out. This place is only as good as it's participants - it's all about quality and timely I/O.

Upgrade the whole enchilada? No! The 1366 platform still kicks'ass, so ride your investment for with an OC of your i950 for another six months until Haswell drops. Then upgrade it all and have a blast doing it. So don't invest a dime more, just OC the snot our of both the cpu and gpu, the X58 can take it.
