Hello! I've been planning on building my own PC for some time. Primarily, it'll be a gaming PC, but I'll be doing minor other work with it. I just have a laptop, and it's not taking the heat of my games so well. This is what I've been looking at in terms of parts. I'd like to stay at $2k if possible. With a monitor and keyboard, everything clocks in at around $1.8K.
I've never built my own PC before, however, I've taken a look inside them and watched videos on how to do it. I don't plan on OCing anytime soon; maybe in the future I'll learn how. I'd like to be able to play games like BF3, Planetside 2, the Total War series, etc. on max or at least high settings.
