 Post subject: help with OC athlon 64 3200+/ram newbie

i got my bios working now and i need help on how to set my ram timings.. i kno nothing about them and could someone help me overclock? my ram (ocz) maxes out at 221 mhz and i would like to set some kind of "RAM TIMINGS" to lower the clock speed of the ram so i can boost my cpu clock speed higher... memory are keeping me back!! o yeha and my ratio are 1:1 right now.. dont know how to change it to anything else.. thnx!!

Basically the same answer. Gigabyte generally doesn't let you adjust timmings and what-not. Usually just FSB and some fairly big voltage jumps.

And you'll get better performance a by running in sych (1:1), but may have to change it to get the clockspeed you desire. May counter the performance gain you're trying to achieve by OC'ing.

But you may just have to end up gettting an Asus or Abit board to start your OC'ing adventures.
