After several months of stability problems my 6 year old desktop computer seems to have finally died. I was pretty happy with it's performance and am looking to build a modest upgrade from its Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz base. I'd prefer something a tad smaller so I'm going with a microATX build. Mostly just gonna use it to listen to music, web browsing, torrenting, a little gaming (minecraft, KSP, simcity). The OS will be either Fedora or Debian Linux. My budget is $500.
Things I already have:
nVidia GTS 250 video card (not looking to upgrade it at this time)
M-Audio 5.1 Revolutions sound card (needs PCI slot)
keyboard
monitor
What I have in mind to buy:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Publi ... r=16931529I'm looking for a small, cheap, reliable SSD to install the OS on. The home partition will be on a harddrive I already have.
Thanks! Be brutal!
