Maximum PC

so I want to build a pc for myself instead of buying one at bestbuy or pcrichards. I want to do a bit of gaming on it but i mainly want it for music editing and producing, also for video editing and probably some photoshop work too. i have built one already and i want some feedback on it, you know if it would be enough to do these things. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vWGB this has an asrock mobo but a budy of mine told me that msi mobos are more reliable.should i choose an msi mobo instead?

Asrock used to be known for their small form factor mobos (mATX & mini ITX). More recently, their standard ATX mobos have been quite good. MSI makes decent mobos, too, but never considered a top notch manufacturer. Recently, MSI has started this new MPower series where MSI will perform a burn-in test on 100% of the boards in this series to ensure they will work. This provides some added assurance that when you receive the board, it's been tested and should work. The trade-off is that these boards cost a little bit more than the non-tested counterparts.

Personally, if you find a board with decent reviews on Amazon or newegg (>70% 4 & 5s), and it has the functions you want, then I don't think it matters if it is ASRock or MSI.

Eh, motherboards tend to perform the same regardless of who makes it. Except Intel's. Intel sucks at making boards.
