I see your valid point on the Barracuda, small increase in price, large real estate gain. Currently I run a Seagate 250GB(232GB usable). at one time I had Crysis, Far Cry I and II, MW2, Sim City 4, MS Flight sim, etc and all of my storage and back up and still only used 130GB. So that is why I chose a 128GB SDD, and a 1TB HDD, intending to use the SDD for it's intended purpose, and having enough storage for the new games. I'm still running Win XP, I dont know what space windows 7 Pro uses. However... I believe that your recommendations will provide great results and compatability. I'm in

If it's in your budget there's no reason not to increase the size of your SSD. It'll increase the amount of programs that you can have on there that'll load quickly. Insofar as the size of Windows 7 it depends on how you install it. If you do a standard install of Windows 7 Home Premium it's about 30 gigabytes, give or take. You can strip a few gigabytes away by making a custom installation disc and stripping out parts that you don't need. I typically recommend making a custom installation disc anyways since it'll cut down on the amount of time you spend patching.
