Maximum PC

Hi, Can u Help me Pls.

I install an Ultra ATA controller, and add a new hard disk. But I can’t find it.
I can see the hdd in the device manager and when I run the ata controller program that the hdd working, but I can’t find it in Computer Management or in my computer.

you need to format the new drive so windows can use it, (it is new right doesn't have stuff on it?)

go to computer management (disk management) you should see the new drive showing up as unformated or something (cant quite remember) anyway right click on the unformated drive and it should give you the option for format it. Then it should show up with drive letter and whatnot withing windows.

It didn't show up in Disk Management.

did you install the drivers for the controller?

Are you checking just the top part of Disk Management (Logical Drives)? If it's showing up in Device Manager, It *should* be showing up in Disk Management on the bottom part (Physical drives).
