Well, I was righting this thread 5 minutes ago, but that was before my computer crashed. So I had to make a new one :(

I am pretty much an extreme gamer and I do some video editing.
price range is 1500 +- 200 (canadian) so about 1200 American.
I live in Canada so I will most likely be using zipzoomfly since they ship to Canada.

I will recycle my audigy 2 zs and my periphials (mouse keyboard monitor etc)

I am hoping to get dual gfx card, but I can live with one right now and then upgrade to two later. Also I wanna use AMD and geforce most lickely (PCI)

Thank you for your help!

360

if you must have two cards then get 2 6600 gt's. I think from the benches they arent as strong as one 6800gt could be wrong though.

Since all that is free 2day air, you should come out to about 1195. I am assuming you have case fans and stuff though. If you need to cut back on something I would cut back on the 3500 and go with 3200 cause like i said in another forum, my friends goes to 2.5 and he is sitting at 2.2 on stock air.

After looking around for a bit, I was looking at the alienware http://www.alienware.com/product_detail ... EFAULT#sub
ALX I thought I might as well do the monthly payment plan and get the best PC out there.

But is it really worth the 5 grand?

probably not , but if it makes you happy. You cant puta price on happiness. /ends credit card commercial.

In all seriousness the only reason it could possibly be worth it, is cause it allows you to pay for a computer over time. I could not justify paying 4g's for a computer though. Your call though, GL.

It won't be by the time your done paying for it. I think you'd be better off spending 2G's on a nice computer now than make payments on something you're gonna want to replace by the time you pay it off. Just my .02 cents.
