 Post subject: copper or... not copper

I am about to get a new heat sink. should I get the thermalrigh xp-90 or 90c copper. <that one is heavier but because it is copper won't it cool better too? a little advice along with a fan recommendation.

the copper version has only SLIGHTLY better cooling ability. but i wouldnt say its worth haveing a 2 pound copper weight hanging off your mobo. Go with the regular version and a panasonic panaflow fan.

Newegg show a $22 difference between the two. I would go with the lower cost one unless you are cooling a Prescott CPU, or an overclocked CPU.

The XP-90 is spectacular in terms of price to performance compared to it's new born orange brother. According to reviews, it looks like there's a small, negligeable difference in cooling between the two.

on SVC the xp90 aluminum is 30 bucks the copper verson is 50 dolars but if u want to get it, that would probably be the cheapest
