Thanks, guys. I've read a couple of places the swap is a good thing get rid of, as much as you can. Especially the dynamic part, where Windows adjusts the size. There's a lot of CPU overhead to resize it. Check out TheElderGeek.com.
I'm not a gamer, but would like to try flight simulators (jet through a canyon type) and first-person shooters.
Other than that, just lots of security and other utilities and TiVo stuff, video capture and ripping (legally, of course) TV, DVDs and music to a hard drive, MP3 player, whatever. Nothing strenuous (or is it?)
