Maximum PC

Sooooo I just bought this new awesome powersupply (PSU CORSAIR| HX750 750 W RT) to help power my new 2GB Nvidia Graphics Card but after all the connections are made to my tiny MSI motherboard "MS-7597" and I start up my computer I see all of the lights on the tower turn on, fans turn on, but nothin is sent to my monitor on bootup.

Wondering if I have to upgrade my motherboard too! Is there such a thing as having too powerful of a PSU for your MB????

First time buying parts and adding them myself to the tower, please forgive my newb questions.
