Maximum PC

Hello all,

I'm looking to build a relatively high-end gaming PC (with the desktop budget of around £800-£1000). I've not got a monitor, or keyboard/mouse for it all yet so I've still to buy all that but I'm needing a great deal of help in regards to the actual PC components, as I know you need to consider compatibility/power supply (which I don't have a clue)

CPU - Intel i7 3370 IVY Bridge (1155 Socket) - ebuyer.com - £248.87

That's the furthest I've got. Ha.

If anyone could give me some tips on where to buy/what I should be getting to make a sweet rig, then I'd be forever appreciative!

Probably a typo with "i7 3370". I guess you meant the Core i7-3770K CPU, which is over $300 U.S. alone. A decent 23-inch monitor will cost at least $150. I am sorry, but the bad news is a high-end build will be well over $1,000.

Otoh, the good news is that you probably do not require a high-end rig. Tell us what you want to do with proposed build and we may be helpful. Specifically, applications and gaming. Re gaming, what resolution(s) and what are your needs/expectations for gameplay and settings.
