I am looking for great and good NAS, that can talk with PC, Android and Apple.
With big NAS, am I thinking around 6-12hdd, and will run in RAID5.
What should I look at?
How big should the CPU and RAM/memory be? What about Data Transfer?
Network to be connected to the NAS are:
2x Android devices (Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 10.1 ")
2x Apple devices (iphone4 and iPad3).
1x Media box simulare Western Digital TV Live Media Player
Via web / remote (up to 10 users + / -)
PC and Android is most important that it works.
Media on the NAS will be:
Film (720P to 1080P), photos, documents.
It is seldom that all are connected simultaneously then.
With android and apple, I want automatic upload mobile basis when eg taking pictures / videos to your NAS as mobile devices get wifi coverage or start up even cellular networks.
And that you can go into the basis for cellular NAS and download again to mobile (film, photos, documents and apps).
Have been looking at Synology DiskStation DS2411+ 12-bay NAS:http://www.synology.com/products/spec.p ... #p_submenu
Most due to much space. But it has enough memory and CPU to my spending?
Other important things are:
That it is easy to use
Setting up users with passwords etc. ..
Turns on after power outage
Put passwords on folders
So what do you recommend?
