DDR2 711 Native Support
Although Intel's 925XE chipsets claimed to only support DDR2 400/533, ASUS engineers successfully unleashed their true potential. This model offers native DDR2 711, eliminating the bottleneck when overclocking both the CPU and memory. With current processors supporting 1066MHz FSB, ASUS motherboards, the only solutions with native DDR2 711, will provide superior performance for the most demanding applications.

does this mean that you could purchase 700 series memory instead of 533?

I have already ordered this Asus P5AD2 MOBO along with the P4 650 CPU. I am now looking at memory to go with it. I will be looking at 2-1gb sticks. Whats your opinion? are they sayin that you can overclock the 533's to get the 711. I found this looking for memory,

2 theorys, one its running on a diffrent divider (200 mhz fsb and 266 mhz ddr2 ram) so say its running at 200 mhz fsb and 300 mhz ram that would be a 2:3 divider im guessin so for every 2 clocks of the fsb the ram has 3 clocks (im not sure how all that works but it will be async so it mite not be as efficent)

ddr2 711 i have no clue about well i dont realy have a clue about running at ddr2 600 but my guess is, its a hack that asus does to enable you to run your memory faster at a stock processor speed so u can get the full value out of higher rated ram
