Hey. I've complied a list of parts that seem good to me, was wondering if anyone has any ideas to decrease cost and retain performance, or to boost performance with minimal costs. Planning on running a 560 TI now until I have the money and inclination to upgrade, then buying another 560 and SLIing in the future at some point. Planning to overclock the i5 to at least 4ghz, maybe more, hence the aftermarket cooler.

Thoughts appreciated! Also please say if I've left any major components out, but don't think I have. And do you think one 560 now and one later is a viable upgrade path?

Welcome to the forums! And good luck with your build.

While you have a decent build, please realize many of the components are over a year old. It should be a great computer for a couple years to come, but you may want to look at some of the more recent CPUs/mobos to see if you can find something similar in your price range.

As for your components:
If you want longevity, lood at the Antec Three Hundred Two case, rather than the Three Hundred. It's essentially the same case, but slightly updated and includes USB 3.0 front panel inputs.

P67 is a good motherboard, but check to see if there are any Z68 mobos that fall within your price range.

Also, I'm not sure if your "that" gung-ho on SLI. If you are, then stick to looking for a mobo that supports it; otherwise, consider getting a non-SLI board with the understanding that you upgrade the GPU rather than buy a second one of the same kind. It might allow you to find a cheaper motherboard which allows you to put the money elsewhere in your build.

Hope this helps.

The thing with upgrading to SLI and Crossfire in the future is that it has to be a near-term goal, within a year. It can't be a "two years down the road" thing. By the time a year or so passes, a graphics card that can perform as good, if not better, than your current one in SLI should be available for a bit more than what you would be paying to find a second card. And yes, hardware prices don't drop very much after a certain point. You can find GTX 280s that go for $250-$300, even though it performs like a $120-$150 card now.
