Where can i find the current best hardware-- the current best video cards, the current best SSDs, the current best RAM, etc?

Newegg, TigerDirect, MicroCenter, Fry's, etc... I think Parts Picker links you to whoever has whatever too.

If you live in the US.

Also the term "best" is ambiguous. If you want the absolute best hardware, then hope you've done your research on who has the the top spots for benchmarks. And even then, those aren't consistent.

Thx. Ok, so where do i go to find top benchmarks?

Im a Cisco / Microsoft tech. I really dont know brands at all, or even what are ballpark spec numbers for best current hardware technology.

lol i was reading yesterday that you can get 64 Gigs of ram in some boards now.-- As a matter of fact, any good links to how to setup a ram drive?

Google.

There are plenty. Again, use Google.

EDIT: Yes I know these are asshole remarks, but to be honest, finding the "best of the best" isn't something you can just pull up.

If you want the best hardware though, which would depend... consumer GPU is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690, processor would probably still be the Core i7-X3990, and you can get DDR3-2130 (or something) RAM.

Anyway, if you're looking for the absolute best hardware, I hope you have enough for a down payment on a Southern California home.
