Hey guys! This is my first post in the forums and I am looking for comments, advice and opinions about my first gaming PC that I am going to build. All comments and advice are highly appreciated.

Here are my components:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K -$204.99

Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - $109.99 ( I haven't yet added all the power i will need but im positive i have more than enough)

I also want to stay on a $1,050 or less total not including the case, taxes and shipping unless you think it really is worth it to go the extra couple bucks I am willing to go as much as $1,200.. I am new to the PC building world so if anyone spots that any or my components isnt compatible with another please tell me.

that's all I have. sorry if I am typing way too much in the names but I am typing exactly what its called on the website (newegg) Thanks for your help. If you think one of my items really isn't needed to be that expensive( i am good with a cheaper one etc..) please tell me. also, if you think i should get anything better than what i have selected please do tell me.

Thanks for the help guys!!!

Some pointers.
  • If you're getting a Sandy Bridge based processor, don't get a Z77 board. You can find plenty of Z68 boards that are just as good and cheaper and I'm willing to bet the higher-end ones are taking price cuts.
  • You don't need 16GB of memory. 8GB is fine

I think that's it.
