 Post subject: Whats the best way to clean a cpu of the stock thearmalpast

I just got a new hsf and need to know the right way to clean a barton 3000+ to get the stock paste off the cpu core

use alcohol, it dissolves it nicely and leaves it nice and clean.

I use q-tips and at least 90% isopropyl alcohol, alternating between wet and dry. Once no more gunk is being picked up, I give it a final 'buff' with a dry q-tip.

Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol if you must be technical). It evaporates quickly (notice it feels cool when you rub it on your skin? This is why) so don't be afraid to soak the tip of the Qtip.
