Maximum PC

Ok, had a power surge last night it tried to fry a lot of things but only managed my kids computer...I need to rebuild it as he is home schooled and must have it.

Ok started as a Dell with an i7 920 cpu...only things I plan on recycling are the cpu, drives and possibly video card. I'm pretty sure what psu, memory, cooler and case I will use but I need a mobo. I'm hoping the outage/surge only killed the motherboard and or psu, but I guess I'll find out. I need a good tri-channel mobo to start though and I'm not very familiar with them so please help!

It was pretty massive event (thunderstorm winds caused tree limbs to cross power lines and blow a transformer) and affected devices throughout the house almost frying a ps3, only corrupting the os it lived, it almost took out the dvr as well. This computer I just rebuilt using a corsair HX650W psu simply rebooted...thank goodness.
