not what deals can be had in the summer, but if I were to build one now for ~$800 it would be something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Biostar TZ77B ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($41.99 @ Newegg)
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card ($129.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 371 ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair 500W ATX12V Power Supply ($41.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Sony AD-7280S-0B DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Amazon)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit) ($99.99 @ Newegg)

Total (before mail-in rebates): $811.89
Mail-in Rebates: $-70.00
Total: $741.89
(Using your selected merchants and only including nearby in-store pickup prices)
Lowest Possible Total: $711.89 (View prices by merchant)
(Using all available merchants and including all in-store pickup prices)

(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2012-05-02 08:41 EDT-0400)

If you live by a local Micro Center that is where the bulk rebate/savings can be had (even more so with available cpu+mobo combos). Hope it gives you some ideas, cheers

Ok thats a good build. I will be honest I don't really want Intel unless I get a price thats as good as AMD. Perferably a AMD 7000 series. I want to crossfire in the future(so probably 2 7770's). And I don't need the OS at all.
