I'm trying to build a decent Gaming PC for the up coming Guild Wars 2 launch but I'm on a budget.
I found a good cheap build and was wondering if all the parts work together before I buy.
Any suggestions would be appreciated but I don't want the price to go up too high.

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 RC-430-KWN1
Motherboard: ASRock 870iCafe R2.0 AMD+3 AMD 870 SATA 6GB/s ATX AMD
Hard drive: 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0GB/s 3.5"
Ram: 8GB 240-pin DDR3
Power Supply: 600W ATX12V
Processor: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 470 (I got this for free so not in the cost.)
DVD Drive: LG 22X Super-Multi DVD Burner

Over all this build will cost $405.00
And all the parts were bought at newegg.com

If underlined than the part has been changed in another post.

I wound consider upping the PSU to at least Antec EarthWatts EA-650 for $65 w/ free ship & $10 MIR (well worth it)

also consider upping the mobo to 9xx series like the ASRock 970 EXTREME3 $90 shipped it's not that much more than yours + shipping

cheers

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will stay with the 600W power supply because I shouldn't need more than that (and because I like the way it looks, I know it's the wrong reason to buy it but oh well). And as for the motherboard you posted I think I will upgrade to that. It looks like a really nice board and all the reviews are great.

Mother Board: ASRock 970 EXTREME3

So with that my total now comes to $425.92

After reading more reviews and checking more sites I have decided to change a couple other things.

First off I want to Change the AMD FX-4100 Zambezi

I'm thinking about instead getting the AMD Phenom II X4 965

If I do this than I will want to upgrade my psu just in case, since the Phenom II 965 = 125W.

So I would upgrade to APEVIA ATX-CB700W 700W

I know there are better psu's but I like the theme. If there are any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Also let me know what you think of switching from the FX-4100 to the Phenom II 965

Thanks in advance

You ought to get the:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103995

It is based on Thuban and will likely unlock to a 5 or 6 core and will OC to the 4ghz range for a great price.

And the Antec that was linked earlier for the PSU.

Good luck!

Alright well after all the suggestions and further research on my part I think I have come up with my final build. Which just so happens to be on the top of my budget, so here it is.

Case: COOLER MASTER Elite 430
Mother Board: ASRock 970 EXTREME3
PSU: Antec EarthWatts EA-650
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Ram: Team Elite 8GB
Hard Drive: Samsung 500GB 7200RPM
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 470 (once again this was free so not in the cost.)
DVD Drive: LG 22X Super-Multi DVD Burner

+ one mini HDMI/HDMI cable This is so I can connect my GTX 470 to my hd tv, instead of a monitor.

In total my cost is: $452.92

Thanks for the quick advice and great recommendations.

One last question I have, is the HDMI/mini HDMI cable i'm getting the right cable?
