What are the best ways of testing or finding out if a motherboard is dead. Case does not even show power. it is a Silverstone Temjin Series TJ08B-E case. Thanks

  • Make sure the Power LED on the case is plugged in the motherboard correctly. They don't work if they're not plugged in correctly.
  • If you have a buzzer hooked up and it's beeping at you, it means something else isn't working.
  • If the buzzer isn't making a sound, RMA the motherboard.
  • If you don't have a buzzer, test the RAM and video card on another computer if possible. If it works, you can rule those out as being defective and you should RMA the motherboard
  • While it's possible the processor can be DOA, the chances of this happening now are extremely rare if brand new.
