Opinions are always great. I have just finished building it and then found out my mobo had a messed up bio chip two thumbs down. I did some great wire management so Im pretty good there...

Did you already have the 250s?
Was this a upgrade of sorts?
I think you have a decent base to go off of but some of the components could be traded out during future upgrade cycles.
I think you should grab on more stick of memory so you can run then in dual channel and double the total amount that you have.
The GPU's you have are powerful enough in SLI to keep you going for now but would probably be on the next upgrade cycle when you do it.
What 1000W PSU did you grab?

Yes I already had the 250's I got them for $75 for the pair. I am looking at upgrading to 2x:
XFX HD-675X-ZMFR Radeon HD 6750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150572

The power supply I bought of ebay it was the last piece and it was a great price.
1000 Watt Intel AMD PC ATX Power Supply Quad SLI

OP: Welcome! We are glad to have you as a member! Nice overall build. I hope Asus gets your mobo fixed. They make good products. Your used GPUs are worth an estimated $100-150 in good condition. Selling them at the right time will give you money to upgrade. An option to consider. What is your goal clock frequency set at across all eight cores? I am curious. ;)

I would consider selling the cards to help pay for the upgrade. My post are lagging do to admins okaying them.

Your posts shouldn't lag any more.
Does the PSU have a brand name on it?
I get a little worried when I don't know what brand it is.

They aren't worth that much.

Kentek sounds sketchy... I would upgrade that fairly soon, Antec makes a line of PSU called the Earthwatts they are a really great value. I would probably not crossfire 6750s and I would definitely wait to see what nVidia releases this month they should be some great lower budget cards worth looking into.

I have no problem with upgrading the power supply soon and I also ws looking at: X2 460 GTX 2GB Edition SLI Setup - $250 for both of them.

I would not buy a 460 it is 3 generations old at this point and has no future a single 7850 would be a better choice, or wait for nVidia to release their mid range cards sometime this month (possibly next) For comparison: http://www.guru3d.com/article/amd-radeo ... -review/23 the 7850 is close to doubling the performance of a 460 once overclocked not to mention the capabilities of newer anti-aliasing methods.

I would not buy Nvidia Geforce 4xx series GPUs. Thermal and power consumption were problems. 5xx or the newest 6xx series would be a better bet.

Here are some examples:
GTS250 vs 550ti
GTS250 vs 560ti
GTS250 vs 560ti 448
GTS250 vs GTX680
Real world results will vary from what is seen above.

it only took them 2 weeks to get it almost done? They move fast there! Suck to have to wait that long. What are you using for back up?

Since this is my first build I don't have a back-up which sucks so Im still using my Dell XPS. Hopefully ASUS is on the ball and I can get it back next week. In the meantime I installed two 92mm fans in the top of my tower, I received my 24 pin pre sleeved plug, fan grills, and now I have everything ready to go just have to drop the mobo in and fire it up. Until then Im sitting and waiting.
