 Post subject: Looking for a good add-on card for sata 6

I have a good working computer i7-920, with a SSD I just picked up. Its for sata 6, and I have only sata 3 which is working but I am not seeing the speed I should be with it. Is there an add-on card that anyone would recommend or am I stuck getting a new motherboard to reach true ssd speeds? I have little plans on upgrading the CPU anytime in the near future. Ive heard of some that come with USB 3.0 on it as well, which would be fine, but not at all necessary.
If a motherboard is needed, any suggestions on one for the i7-920?

How many drives do you have in your system? You could use a raid controller with SATA III. Be warned, a good one is going to cost you more than what it would be to replace the mobo. Adaptec will cost you a pretty mint. Here is a solid performer for the money:
