I am looking for a 300 dollar labtop and that includes shipping to CA 93003. It will be used for internet browsing, writing and editing. I know 300 dollars is not alot for a book but its the most I can spend right now. Thanks for the help.

Wow, that's... a very low price. However, I can understand being in a money crunch. (I just worked a ton of overtime and saw all my money get spent before it was in hand due to a vet emergency, dental emergency, and a damaged laptop.) Do you want a laptop, or can it be a netbook?

My favorite spot to get a cheap Laptop has always been TigerDirect.com. And I mean cheap in both the financial and quality sense.

Now, I like the HP6910. However, I'm also one who would immediately replace the hard drive and max out the memory to it. A lot of the laptops listed are used thus might not be in the best of shape but they can be serviceable.

And here is a link to everyone's favorite, Newegg!

If you want a Netbook, they run even cheaper.

Honestly, I can not vouch for the quality of any of the items listed. My last laptop was purchased in 2008 however I am currently looking at buying a new laptop. (Yay tax refund!)

Another thing to look at is putting the purchase on credit. While I am not a big fan of Best Buy, they do have a nice deal where you have about 6 months or a Year to pay off your purchase with no interest. So, if you can figure out a budget plan for that period of time then you might be able to afford something nicer.

I hope that this helped.

At newegg there is no interest for a year for purchases over $500.
