Anyone know a good, quiet harddrive? I think the Seagate Barracuda's are quiet, but I'm not sure, I'm looking for an 80gb one, and a 120-200gb HD. It doesn't matter if they're SATA or not.

Really? I didn't think this was a help me buy/help me build ( but then again, I guess I am )

Samsungs spinpoints are suppose to be the quietest with seagate as a close second. They make hard drive mounting devices that are suppose to quiet things a lot.

You could get a HDD enclosure like the Smart Drive 2002 (found here), they apparently work very well for all drives except the Raptors (10k RPM)

I have several maxtors of various sizes and ages, and all are quiet. Come to think of it, almost all HDs I've ever bothered listening to are quiet.
