I think I'm going to try and see if the ASUS fits in my case and if it doesn't then I think I'll need to get a new case, early suggestions?

Thermaltake makes some nice big ones and Ive heard really good things about Lian-Li. What kind of case are you running now?
And as to the comment about the molex adapters when you plug in a pci-e card a lot of them have a plug on the back where you can plug in a pci-e power cable. But since not all psu's have that they include a little adapter that has 2 3pin connectors that link into a a pci-e connector. You must have both of the 3pin connectors plugged into a 4pin connector.

Right now I have a Coolermaster Centurion 5 adn the rear fan is messing up the ports in the back of the motherboard. I don't know if I want a really large one because when I looked aty one in CompUSA I was like ,"Wow if I got one of those I couldn't put it in my room," I mean there were like 100 drive bays. However, I am looking at Lian-Li. I just want to avoid that rear fan. Thanks.

what kind of mobo do you have in your case now. Bc the Centurian should easily be able ot fit any atx mobo which is probably what you have.

I don't have the motherboard in right now, but it was a DFI Lanparty Nforce4 Ultra-D. The motherboard fit in fine, but the fan wouldn't let me put the onboard audio on. By the way if I get the ASUS A8N SLI-Deluxe is it still compatible with a single graphics card? Why aren't my system settings showing in my signature?

Yes, all SLI boards allow you to run in a single graphics card mode.

And you don't see anyone with a signature, do you? Signatures are disabled.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that as I posted. Anyways, if this motherboard's audio doesn't fit either and I can't take it off I'm definitely going to need a specific suggestion for the case. Can I AIM you guys if you have it posted?

dont mind if you aim me, but i'm only gonna have net access at work really for the next week (moving).

I use cheap cases though :P

If you're looking for HQ cases, the other forum goers would know better.

btw - what's the status on your video??

I have everything installed and the onboard audio fit in just fine so we don;t have to worry about that, I tihnk somehitng was wrong with that old motherboard because after I installed the ASUS it was up and running BIOS fine, but right now it is asking for a system disk and when I inserted my Dell disk wich my mom is using it wouldn't read it, is this because my computer is not a Dell?

OK, I went out and bought my XP Home Disc and it's formatting the hard drive right now, I can't wait. By the way that DFI board was the problem of this whole thing and the case didn't ahve abd layout it was the board, onboard audio fits on nicely now. My only concern is that SP2 which is already installed on the disc is going to ruin my network. It does that I hear.

AVG Free AntiVirus
Windows AntiSpyware Beta Very powerful antispyware prog
Lavasoft Ad-Aware Basic antivirus prog
Spybot: Search and Destroy Basic antivirus prog
Zone Labs' ZoneAlarm Firewall

All of the above are free and are HIGHLY recommended. The triple antispyware prog scheme is not necessary, but it's what I run and I feel super safe. :)

Congrats on your new compy! Now enjoy it! :D

Does anyone know how to make a good looking wallpaper out of a google image? If you just right-click and set it as wallpaper it looks like crap.

Hey, if I have extra wires coming from my power supply and I just sort of crammed them into the slots below my optical drive will my airflow be disrupted? Is the overclocking or "tweaking" guide included in the Maximum PC "How to Build A Dream Machine" book easy enough for me too use and wiht my case and cooling should I be OK withj overclocking?
