i just ordered an asus sli motherboard from monarch yesterday. And today i just saw the sli mobo roundup on anadtech.com and the results show that the msi and the dfi one are better. should i cancel the order on the asus board? what do you guys think and why?

If it's not too late, I would say yes. The MSI is the board to get, IMO. It overclocked just shy of the DFI, there's no stability issues being discussed (that I'm aware of), and had a richer feature set.

That Anandtech article had me take DFI off of my planned upgrade and consider MSI as the frontrunner.

Yes, the MSI had killer stock performance. The A8N-SLI is not a 'bad' board by any means, but the MSI is the better option IMO.

no. the msi is just a bit better. In most games you will only see max 5 fps increase its nothing big.

well i jsut tried calling but it closed already. so i emailed them a request to change it but it will probably ship before they read the email.

here's what i said:

i just ordered a BFG 6800GT pcie and an Asus SLi
deluxe motherboard.

Is there way i can change the Asus Sli Deluxe to the
MSI SLI K8N Neo 4? or will that cost extra and delay
the shipment?

I am Sorry for this inconvience

If you can't change it, don't stress. As mentioned, the A8N is a fine board. I personally have a love affection with Asus, regardless of my open affair with MSI.

I dunno, I have seems some Asus A8N-SLI "Kick Ass" awards aver the net, in fact the SLI Gigabyte motherboard has got slightly better reviews then the MSI one.

You may want to read this, which came out yesterday:

Anantech Link

Again, Asus is not a bad choice, but MSI has the better option.
