I know this is Maximum PC, but hey it is a discussion forum right and this seems to best place to post this thing... Would it be possible to build an Apple computer? I have not seen anyone selling any components to build one. I know it's a RISC vs. CISC thing, but is it really that difficult to put one of these things together?

Well that bites... not really but it would be cool to say you built a mac... can someone sue saying Apple has a monopoly on the parts LOL J/K! If Apple really wanted to piss off M$, they should release a OSX for the PC. I'd give it a try just cause it looks cool.

A lot of people complained when XP came out that it was to cartoony, I liked it from the get go and still like it.

Anyone out there work for Apple? Can I get some parts?

Mac are awesome for graphics design and number crunching, past that they stink in my opinion. I do like how they are very compact, and i would imagine that is one of the reasons for not releasing them for public building. Also Mac doesnt hold a large enough market share to get sued for monoply, lol

I only think Macs suck because they're crappy gaming platforms, however i'll admit that Apple does a great job when it comes to looks and power, but i still have one part of myself that says they suck.

Hey Jokerswild1! That's probably why there's not an Apple store near here. :)

I still think it sucks that a Mac can't be built by one of us. Well thanks for all the comments though. Maximum PC, may you publish to the end of time.

Yes, Apple writes their own OS... but they're a hardware company-- that's where they make their money-- not software.
