I have this AMD based system I got from a buddy in a parts trade... The case does not have any good places to mount extra fans, so I would have to ghetto rig it. The bios seems to allow the proc to run at either 900mhz or 1200mhz. (either 100mhz or 133mhz bus speed)

It seems to already be running hot.... how could I get it cooler (even if not for the O.C.)

Get a better thermal conductor between the heatsink and the proc? Get a better heatsink/fan?

I was thinking... but what is there already seems pretty beefy. It isnt too important to me. I wish I had more options. I wish I could run it at 1000mHz instead of 900 or 1200. I am going to look for a BIOS update tonight. Hopefully I will find that it opens up some options there for a little more control.

The processor is probably going to end up being ThunderBird based or Duron based. Just an FYI.

I want to say it is a ThunderBird.

The bios is queer. I can't access it unless I turn on the pc and immediatly pound the delete key repeatedly. (and it is a new keyboard, the del key works fine on other systems).

I will get more specifics, and let you know tonight.

Decided not to OC this one as I was giving it away (and I already had one stick of ram fail in it without any OC).

When I get my T-Bird 1400 then we will talk :)
