Ok, I'm sure this subject comes up all the time, but I did a search and most of the stuff was old, or not relevant. I've looked into making a whitebook, and to me it seems feasable. Has anyone here ever done it before?

I haven't, but the prospect does sound interesting. I would assume your a dealer where you can get your hands on a whitebook kit from a resellar, but either way, since they send you everything you need there is no reason you couldn't do it.

I'm having trouble finding just a case for it. If someone has found one before, can you post a link?

a whitebook is the term used for a notebook that's built by an individual. Like a person would buy all the parts, and a case and put it together for himself, much like gamers do with desktops.

Thats the problem. I've found a few suppliers who will sell pretty close to something thats barebones. Xotic PC has offered just a case with a mobo and something else, but I forgot. Newegg sells laptop parts rather cheap, so basically the principle is that you can build a really good desktop replacement for not an exorbitant sum. The place that I've found with directions

is that.
Tomorrow I'm going to be making some calls to ASUS and some other places seeing if I can pick something up off of them, a refurb or something along those lines.
