I am about to build a new computer. I dont want to send over $1500. I also cant realy order anything because of where I live. So I am buying everything LOCAL. I am getting alot of compucare and Best buy. If you guys have any ideas to add, please go to compucare.com or bestbuy.com and find it from there because everything else on the web is usless. well here we go tell me what you think.

Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe NForce AMD939…$209.99
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 939pin RTL…$229.99
Heat Sink:
Ram: 2x KINGSTON KVR400X64C3/512 512MB DDR400 C…$185.98 for both
Hard Drive: WD 200GB SATA 7200RPM 8MB CACHE…$129.99
Cable: 24IN Serial ATA Mesh Drive Cable…$9.99
Video Card: BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC 128MB GDDR3 PCI-E…$249.99
CD Burner: Lite-On 52x32x52x CDRW Black…$34.99
Case: ANTEC SONATA 9BAY BLACK 380W…$109.99
Speakers: LOGITECH Z340 3 PIECE SPEAKER…$35.99
Keyboard: Aopen KB-858B Black Keyboard PS/2…$9.99
Mouse: Logitech MX 310 Optical Mouse…$29.99
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition…$109.99
All-in-one: EPSON CX6400 ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER…$139.99

So I am looking at about $1486 before tax. The only thing I havent found is a good heatsink and fan. Also do you think a 380 antec PS that comes with the case is good enough?

- We now have a forum titled "Help Me Build / Help Me Buy" for these kinds of threads ;)

- Specs are nicely done. If you're not going to run 2 video cards in SLI down the line, you may want to consider a non-SLI nForce4 mobo, if available.

- The Antec 380w shouldn't have a problem powering that system.

- If you don't mind me asking, where do you live that ordering online is not an option? The specs are decent, but you're getting raped on some of the prices. I'm guessing you're already aware of this.

Don't you have a friend or relative with a house or something that receives UPS/FedEx packages better?

The risk of it not being delivered would be worth it for what you would save. Phone a friend and see if they'll sign for it if you send it there.

Yes to both questions. It looks good, and there are better components out there.

If you want to save some cash, pick up a different version of the 6600gt. I have the leadtek. This one is overclocked more than the bfg too. link

Price these items at http://www.outpost.com also. I see the Antec case at $89.95 and last week they had a $20 rebate making it $69.95.
