Maximum PC

Hey all.

I am currently shopping for ram at newegg right now, and they have on sale some ram made by a company named rosewill, which is 512megs of pc3200 ram for 57$!! The latencies look a bit high, but many people in the reviews seem to have good luck with overclocking them. My other choice was to go with the corsair value select ram (same specs) for 67$ each. Will there be a difference in performance? I dont really plan to overclock either. Last but not least, is rosewill worth going with?

Go with the Corsair Value... its of much higher quality then the price would suggest. From the timings discussed in the NewEgg review it looks like the Corsair would overclock with a bit more stability and success. Personally I have a system with 1g of Corsair Value... 512x2, and I was able to overclock my CPU from 2.2 to 2.5. I would get Corsair, but wouldn't be afraid to go with the Rosewill.

in a case like that when i was at college i'd look at it as skipping lunch twice if i had to make up a $10 difference

for $70 at newegg, kingmax has their cl2.5 ddr433 512 dimms which i went for. At the time they were also $67. It's great if you're overclocking a bit.

The Corsair ram is excellent i run it in all my machines. i built out of say maybe 30 sticks or so i've only had one stick that threw errors. But of course Corsair was incredibly quick on the RMA and i had a new stick in my hands within a couple days. Corsair is more then excellent and they overclock extremelly well.

Bahahahaha! Newegg "reviews" are a bunch of re-treads and any accuracy is RARE.

If you notice, there's no negative comments to speak of. Only "this roxors at .5-.5-.5-1 timmings on my L337 rig *insert wish list here*" or "boots and runs great! Best ever!"

Their reviews are rigged, go with Cosiar better quialty.
