I am running a P42.8C on an Asus P4P800SE with a Zalman 7000B Heatsink/Fan. I just installed the chip & fan 2 days ago with AS5 so I know I can expect a few degree drop in time. I am running at 29-30C idle & 36C under normal load. At extream load the temp climbs all the way to 44-46C & steadys at about 44C. Should I worry about this temp or is this pretty normal for this chipset. I have it OCed to 3.3. I only ask cause i had a 2.0A Oced to 2.8 & it ran at 28C idle & 36C underload with a stock heatsink/fan. My new chip is running about 3 times as much to produce full load tho. :)

Sounds about right. I'm running the same proc, mobo, and heatsink as you, and my system overclocked to 3.43 usually hits around 46c at full load depending on the ambient temperature.

Yea I dont know if this matters but I find it pretty interesting that you are running the same thing as me, but my proc is 2.6C.
