Yes, the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 is a good choice being much cheaper, depending on how you are going to use it and what kind of speakers you have you might want to save $25 and go with that.

What are you going to use it for and what kind of speakers do you have?

The SB Live cards are ass. When I get some spare change to swap the Live card out of one of my older machines I'm putting in some flavor of Audigy instead, if Creative didn't manage to fuck them up too.

I have an Audigy LS that i found for 45.99 on newegg.com. I am very happy with it.


BTW: I had a Turtle beach Santa Cruz once and always had issues with it.
