Before everyone says yes get the 260... Is the price difference between the cards ($55) really worth it? Im not big into games anymore... Ill just use my computer to play games here and there and mostly to watch 1080p movies. And my games consist of CS:S and WoW. So if I can save a few dollars without a terrible performance loss I would like to.

How big is the difference in a game like crysis?
Also I never play games at resolutions higher than 1680*1050

What is your budget? And do things like heat and power consumption matter? I use a 5770. It takes up less room than my old 3870, isn't as lound and does well for games. Drivers kinda suck though. Plus, it crashes once in awhile as many people who use them can point out.

The quieter the better, but thats not a big issue as performance is more important. I dont want to spend more than $180 but if the difference is minor, I would like to spend less.

A GTX 260 is 10% faster than a 5770, and it folds much, much better.

Minus the folding issue, I wonder what differences there are with the newer turbo/ice versions of the 5770. Even with my crappy HIS brand 5770 (would definitely recommend a different brand) I've also managed a decent overclock and that's without being the turbo edition.

HIS isn't a crappy brand by far, and a 5770 fits your needs really well. Expect a 5770 to play Crysis at 1680px at 40fps and only slightly bested by a GTX260. For media, I have long preferred ATI. Even with the latest cards, the video play back of the ATI's have more real colors (nVidia still has red fires while ATI has blue/orange/red) Passing encoded Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD master audio data also sounds like it could be of interest at some point, which the 260 can't do.

ICE has an Arctic-Cooling cooler on them. This is usually the aftermarket cooler folks get if they question the reference fan design.

It looks alot like the Akasa Vortex Neo to me.

I have read elsewhere that HIS subbed AC to make the coolers as well though. It got decent review anyhow.

ICEQ coolers vary. Some are that cooler, some are shrouded AC coolers, some are custom HIS designs, some are custom AC contracted designs. None are bad coolers though. I like that they deliver aftermarket-level cooling but still vent their exhaust outside the case unlike most aftermarket coolers.

I would find a good used 260 on eBay for about $150. They fold very well and as others have said gaming is good.

Odd that folders are skewing their choices based only upon folding. Please give good suggestions to people asking without the folding PPD biasing. It's basically bad advise. I'm all for folding (8.6million and counting on my own account), but we gotta keep an open mind.

The 5770 is a better card than the 250GTS or GTX260. For WoW and CS:S, the GTS250 is the top card I'd recommend though. If you actually play Crysis pretty hard, that changes things entirely and why the 5770 is more than likely a good start to a discussion.

I ended up purchasing an XFX 5770 and am very satisfied with it.
