I am looking at two different routers that have buillt in media servers that stream to xbox 360. The Netgear is dual band and costs about $70 more than the Buffalo whichi is only single band. I'm not convinced that I need to spend the extra $70 because the xbox is only 15 feet away from the router and I won't be using the internet or gaming while I'm streaming media. Is the Netgear worth the extra $70? Any experiences with either of these routers?

I have two of the buffalos. I highly recommend them. I got two early revisions so dd-wrt isn't working yet but the 1.72 is great and wds works fine for a bridge if you need that. The A channel doesn't help much unless there is a ton of other wifi routers around. A gets blocked by walls easily.

Thanks for the reply. Glad you like your buffalo because I picked one up yesterday at Micro Center. The configuration seems to be a big lacking in options. I also have a strange issue, maybe you can tell me if you have this problem. Everytime I add a new song/video/picture to the nas I have to toggle the enable/disable media server button in the router config before my xbox will see the new files. It was the router causing the problem because I tried several reboots of the xbox and that did not do anything. Is this normal? It seems pretty stupid.
