I bought my sister's computer from her because my laptop died on me. It is a HP p6213w. Nothing great, but better than what I had.

I am looking to upgrade the 250w power supply and also get a video card since it has integrated graphics.

I don't want to spend too much money right now, because I do plan on building my next computer either during the summer or afterwards.

My budget is around $75 to $150 for the power supply and $150 or less for the video card.

I just need something to be able to play some games on like Fallen Earth, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, etc. I mainly just surf the next and check email right now until I get a better system for games.

It says the expansion slots on the MB is: 1 PCI, 1 PCI Express x16, and 2 PCI Express x1.

My resolution is 1920 x 1080. I use Win 7 Home Premium if that matters.

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to make sure I got the info on here.

Thanks for any help at all.

wow, you actually got all the info we need! Good stuff. Now, I would recommend a setup like this to hold you over:
Silverstone 400W PSU -$45
Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 -$95
Now, this won't be able to max out all your games at that resolution. but it should manage at least high on all of them. You can then use the rest of the cash you had budget towards your new build.

Just be cautious to check if the PSU is those shose shorter than usual !

As that HP consumer series sometimes happen to use shorter depth PSU on some models.

I just helped a friend buy a computer, it was an HP in that very same chassis. It uses a standard ATX PSU.

Thank you Spartacus and Stargazer for the info.

Yeah, I don't really care right now about playing games at max settings. I will be trying for that later on when I have the funds to build my next computer.
