What are good safe temps for the CPU and GPU?
Im looking at like OC temps not just normal temps, if that makes sense.

Depends on which CPU and GPU you're inquiring about.

Well right now a P4 2.6C at 3, nothing large I know.
But also what about A64 and a 6600 GT?

For your P4 2.6C there, you should be getting ~45C, stock HSF, OC'd, on load, with a good airflow. Idle temps should be in the low 30's to high 20's.

For just about any A64, high 30's are usual for idle, and mid to high 40's for load.

~60C and below sounds good for 6600GTs.

Sorry about the weather report.

Also, keep in mind it will depend on what stepping, manufacturing process, etc of a processor you're talking about as well. There is a noticeable difference in temps between the Newcastle and Winchester at the same speed bin.

If you're ever in wonder about a specific proc, simply google reviews of the processor in question. Most review sites list the temps in addition to application performance benchmarks.
