I am on a budget and don't want to spend too much. I am not a crazy gamer, I just would like to play DayZ mod of Arma 2. Graphics do not have to be out of this world. Here is what I have right now:

Case
PSU - 400 watts
Optical drives
Harddrives
Heat Sink

Here is what I was looking to get:

mobo:

cpu:

ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820220705

graphics:

Like I said before, I am on a budget and not a crazy gamer. Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks!!

What screen resoultion do you use? That will have an effect on video performance. I'm not sure 400W ps is enough. I'll let others hopefully comment on that.

no clue lol and on the system requirements of the vid card it says a 400 watt psu is required... will that not be enough?

I'm not sure if they take the other power requirements for the whole system into account.

They do. It's a rough guideline. Rule of thumb is to take max GPU TDP and add 135-150w for the entire system TDP. Where, of course, the cpu then hdd's are the biggest consumers.

Nicely done, garcias! Looks like your picking this up well. All of the components you selected are compatible. Personally, I like the XFX 7770 GPU - it's almost the same price and I like the manufacturer better.

As for the PSU, 400 should suffice provided this isn't a terribly old/used PSU. FYI, PSU degrade with time so a 400W PSU used for 5 years won't be able to produce 400W.

Also, are your HDDs SATA? Depending on their age, they could be IDE which is no longer compatible with the new mobos.

Hope this helps.
